Mine came with G rated Westlakes too. I am very happy with them. We have put over 10k miles on them so far with not a hint of a problem. I did some research and they have a good reputation. With the way they are running I may price new ones when I decide to reshod the fiver.

Look at the 15โ€ tires GY Endurance offers.

I currently recommend Goodyear Endurance. Just has a new set put on in early January and put 3500 miles on them in two weeks.

Our new Mesa Ridge has the Castle Rock, 225 75x15, looks like an E rated (sticker on side of 5th wheel says inflate to 80#). Guess that makes it a 10 ply. Unit now in storage so cannot check.
Should I feel nervous running the Castle Rock.

It sounds like the term you want is "ply rating." The number of plies a tire has have long since been superseded by "load range" and "load index" ratings. The number of actual plies is irrelevant.

WalMart sells the ENDURANCE. Is the Carlisle a YSMade tire?

No, they're Asian-made. I had good luck with 2 different sets of them on my 11,360 GVW Komfort, though I ran E's when the placard specified D's. Running light, basically empty tanks/no food, ice, etc., I'd run 70-75 psi, but when loaded, I'd always run 80 psi. When I sold the Komfort, the tires were going on 5 years old and were starting to weather check a bit, but I'd've run them the rest of the year, myself. Of course, I'm pretty conservative and keep my speed < 65 and usually run 60-62. Tires were always covered and on boards in storage. As I said, I'll certainly look around when I need tires for the KZ, but I won't discount Carlisle, based on my experience with them.

Can you pronounce the parent companies name?

Personally I would replace with GY ENDURANCE โ€œEโ€ tires.

80 psi is a โ€œEโ€ tire.

Last year, the first of September, I put a set of Goodyear 10 plies on our old (just traded in) 5th wheel. Put them on just before a 1000 mile trip into and around Montana. Really did love the ride. Felt so solid. Now will have to do it all over again.
Due to cost, how would Carlisle compare to Goodyear? Probably would have thrown on a set of Carlisle instead of Goodyear had I known I could get them at WalMart..... Dollars matter it the two products are close in quality.
