Traveling this summer to Memphis, Nashville, Gatlinburg and Ashville. Am interested in your thoughts as to the best RV parks in those areas and what to see and do. I know many of you have been there and have thoughts on this trip. Thanks for the info. Happy Travels. Arnold

There are facebook groups for rv ing in almost every state.
Try asking on TNrvcamping or NCrvcamping. You'll get a lot of good LOCAL knowledge.

River Bend in Pigeon Forge. I have used a couple of the others in the area and liked this one the best.....Gatlinburg is to crowded for me....We drove to Ashville and stayed at the Grove Park Inn. Lots to do and see in both areas.

When you go to Asheville, take a look at Campfire Lodgings just north in Weaverville. One of our favorite CG’s.

We liked River Bend in Pigeon Forge, but didn't like the town traffic.

Cages Bend outside of Nashville is an awesome campground on the Cumberland River. They accept the Senior park pass making it really inexpensive. I think we paid $21.00 per night FHU on the water.

We liked this place for visiting Gatlinburg- stayed there 4 nights a couple years ago. It's close enough to area attractions, groceries, and the great Smokey Mountains scenery.

For Asheville, I'd look a little bit away from there too, like Brevard/Transylvania County (the Land of Waterfalls). https://www.romanticasheville.com/waterfalls.htm
