Tims Ford SP to St. Louis, via Vogel SP

We are thinking of taking an early April trip through Tims Ford SP, TN, which we've been to many years ago, down through Vogel SP, GA and then back to St. Louis.
The tentative itinerary is: Tims Ford State Park, Vogel State Park, Obey River Campground , Axtel CAMPGROUND on Rough River, Wayne Fitzgerrell State Recreation Area then home.
Have looked at CampgroundsReviews and the respective reservation sites, but would like some personal opinions/input on any and all of these stops.
Will have a 26' Class B+ and only need electric with an occasional water refill and dump. We prefer State & COE parks and to limit our drive time to no more than 4 hours per day, spending 2-3 days per campground.
Thanks

Thanks for all the great replies, but it looks now that our plans are going to be cancelled. Our new RV should be completed in early April, that was the reason for the shake down trip, but looks like that won't happen. We are in lock down. Essential travel only and I don't picking up a new RV falls into that category. Besides are there any campgrounds open?
I just hope that the powers to be realize that restocking your beer supply IS considered essential travel.

At Tims Ford you have a choice of two campgrounds. We prefer the Fairview campground as you are on the water, sites are spaced well. Site 41 is our favorite if available. Next we would prefer 28 or 29.

Safe travels!

How is site 39? Never been there but going in May.

Site 39 has a nice view of the water. You are up on a higher bank and should have a decent view. They have removed several trees over the winter so it is a little more open all around. Last year there were fishing tournaments on Wednesday night so that was interesting to watch.

Vogel SP has both water and electric. No sewer, just a dump station. You should be able to fit in just about every rv site there. Word of caution: some of the COVID 19 patients will be under quarantine/housed in trailers in a GA St. Pk. Don't recall which one so call Vogel and find out if it's them.

Understand that there are 2 separate campgrounds and they are about 10 miles apart.
The main campground is at the Tims Ford State park that has the golf course and visitor center, Fairview campground consists of the CG and a boat ramp basically. We also prefer Fairview because we have a 37 ft. trailer and the sites there are large and well spaced. The sites on the inside of the loop are full hookup, all the others are not. We prefer site 60 or 70.

Hard Labor Creek park is being used for the virus and is in middle Ga. Vogel is in north Ga. Not even close.

Your B+ should fit just about any where there. I really like the site at the upper end along the creek.

The COVID 19 patients are at Hard Labor Creek.
