About thirty of us had a March 2020 group trip planned to Big Oak River Camp, in Camp Wood, Texas...we were forced to cancel because of the coronoavirus outbreak...owner refused to return deposit despite the unexpected and unforeseeable need to cancel in light of group-gathering prohibitions and government guidance re. travel

My brother had reservations at an Albuquerque RV Park for the balloon festival. They insisted on $150.00 to cancel.

What a ridiculous statement. While I don’t think the park owner should necessarily absorb the costs, anyone who thinks it is a good idea to do anything as a group right now isn’t too bright.

Their Policy:
Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations more than 30 days before scheduled check-in date will receive 50% refund. Cancellations less than 30 days from scheduled check in date will forfiet payment received.

Nothing would force you into group hugging sessions. Camping next to each other is no more hazardous than camping next to a stranger. Talking to each other at say 6 or 8 foot distances outside unlikely to be hazardous.
