Engine, turbocharger, and transmission have 523K on them without any major repairs? Impressive. I wonder if the injectors are stock as well although he said the engine has not been cracked so I am assuming so. Even more impressive are the original rear brakes especially when being used a hot shot truck.

Many Ram/Cummins have amassed more than one million miles without the engine taken apart. It is a great engine. The rest of the truck often requires typical high mileage repairs and replacement parts.

You never get you RAM hate quite right! Ron's/his son's truck is a early 1998 12V, your video is about 98.5 -2002 24V trucks. The guy must have never done any maintenance to his P O S truck.
I am surprised that my 2001.5 did not look the same if they are such bad trucks! No paint issues, no rust, no dash problems. Maybe this was your cousin's, wife's hair dressers truck?
How about a video about the great 6.0 and 6.4 Powerstrokes? Or the 4R100 behind the 7.3 https://www.google.com/search?q=4R100+be........57j33.17767j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Looks great and I have no doubt it still runs great too. It’s not uncommon at all to see them advertised in my area with 5-600k kms on them and they still fetch a good dollar!

I know this thread was about an early 4th gen, but idk if you pee blue, wear a bow tie or think reliability is defined by one word, Toyota, 2nd Gen Rams ARE still one of the best looking trucks on the road.
Dodge knocked a grand slam out of the park in 1994 with this body style.
So much so, that the next new body style HD truck literally copied the 2nd Gen ram look. (99 Superduty, also good looking rigs) and GM attempted the look in 01 with the hood bulge HD Chevies.
12V... Back in the day, the wife had 4 different 2nd Gen Rams. And nary a problem with any of them, save for an 01 1500 off road model that Dodge kicked out a bunch of bad 4.10 rear ring and pinion sets. That truck blew up 2 rear ends in under 5k miles and never a real issue after that.
