It hasn't been extrapolated but elders with substantial autoimmune diseases (diabetes is an autoimmune response) are very vulnerable to COVID19 complications. Rheumatoid Arthritis, Chron's Disease, the list is daunting.
I hope the upcoming FDA immunization ordinal does not cause controversy.

Moderna's EUA hearing is on December 17th; their drug application for emergency approval for MRNA-1273 was submitted today. The Pfizer hearing is on December 10th.

....eczema, psoriasis and lupus are all autoimmune diseases, too. Roughly ~18% of the World's human population has eczema. Scary.

My strong conviction is that Oxford AZ vaccine operates differently than standard antigen only serums. T cell primary involvement can make a fundamentally different response. And a lasting impression. My fingers are crossed. BY THE WAY the Pfizer serum is being shipping in the US and a few European countries on 7 December for health care professionals. The info is confirmed in multiple media releases including Johns Hopkins.

The hearing for EUA of the Pfizer vaccine is on Dec 10. US Health care professionals should not receive the vaccine until after EUA is granted some time after the Dec 10 hearing.
FDA Announces Advisory Committee Meeting to Discuss COVID-19 Vaccine Candidate

Before deployment can occur the deployment plan needs to be finalized and agreed upon.

Sorry
FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS ![smile [emoticon]](https://forums.goodsamclub.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/smile.gif)
Distribution will be in delivery trucks with dry ice. City hospitals will have it in their hands within hours. Meaning less than 24 hours. For use by health care professionals until further notice. The ordinal, the progression of immunization rank and order is said to take place this week.
Mexico is distributing the AZ vaccine by air-flight only and is transporting the vaccine under military guard to qualified security warehouses. International Airports can receive it but municipal airports may or may not be out of luck. Who knows if the dosages are full strength awaiting half strength binary vaccines? The commonly-held idea that vaccines would not be shipped until somehow "cleared for use" was in error.
When the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are cleared for use in the USA medical personnel you can bet there will be intense pressure down here to follow suit -- even if it is performed with foreign approved vaccines. Meaning Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Yes I have a friendly ear in COFEPRIS.

The change in shipping protocol (not until after approval) is no different than the change in manufacturing protocol (no scale up until after approval). Both are being done out of the normal order to minimize delays in immunization of the population.
It’s been called: “Operation Warp Speed”

(Cut and paste from Johns Hopkins)
Altimmune Poised to Begin Phase 1 Clinical Trial of Single-Dose Intranasal COVID-19 Vaccine (Global Biodefense) Altimmune Inc. has submitted an Investigational New Drug application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to commence a Phase 1 clinical study of its single-dose intranasal COVID-19 vaccine candidate, AdCOVID. Preclinical studies for Altimmune showed that AdCOVID stimulated a broad immune response, including both systemic immunity — as shown by neutralizing antibodies in the blood — as well as local immunity, featuring mucosal IgA and resident memory T-cells in the nasal cavity and respiratory tract.

Once the green light in Great Britain NIH is given Mexico will apply secondary coverage to the elderly, federal police, military, and others rated essential not covered by the 1st tier medical professionals.

BCSnob, in the "Wall Street Journal" it was announced that United Airlines has a large number of planes in the air (which started this past Friday and first stop Chicago) carrying the Pfizer vaccine to various regions of the US (and some in Canada) for the purpose of geographically positioning the vaccine for immediate use and distribution subsequent to the December 10 meetings of US FDA and meetings of Canadian Health Ministry. Approximate first use date is December 15. If this goes off as it should, it will be a blessed Christmas gift to the world. All countries just need to get their supply chain and distribution centers organized and in order.
