I go on the back porch with hair cutter with a number two attachment. 5 minutes later hair gone. Cost as close to zero as you can get.
Had a good time with Flubber until I got it stuck in my moms carpet. She did not see the humor. Thought Sen-Sen tasted like soap. Oh wait it was.

Wife cuts my hair and I cut hers. Dog goes to the groomer every 8 weeks at $100 for a bath and cut? Only good thing is he doesn't shed, goldendoodle.

I'm another in the Do It Yourself category. Bought a set of clippers from Costco? about 20 yrs ago and just had to replace them last month, they got too dull. $30 for 20yrs of haircuts, at MY convience.
Of course I don't have anything on the top, but use the second closest setting for the sides, almost shaved look. Very easy to get ready in the morning, towel dry no combing.
I realize this isn't for everyone, but works for a lot of us.
