My trailer has a large hydraulic cylinder used to raise and lower front of trailer. I was wondering if I should take the pressure off of it when in storage.

It will be fine holding it up. Are you sure it's not 12 electric?? I have not heard of HD on the front of a trailer. But then I am old and I don't sleep at Holiday Inns. LOL

The rams on the levelers for my MH are chrome plated. They can pit if exposed to rain. Grease them up heavily if they're exposed. The pits rip the seals when they move past them.

MHs and many 5ers have hydraulic cylinder controlled leveling legs that remain under pressure for long periods of time, That is what they are designed to do.
