well "everyone" isn't getting one. saw a write up on the requirements and, in typical govt. fashion, are complex and confusing. but anybody who thinks that they don't deserve one can certainly turn those $$$ back to the US govt.

You will not receive a direct deposit payment if you PAY your taxes online unless you provide the IRS additional information. You will receive a check via snail-trail. Those that received money back last year via direct deposit will get the subsidy direct deposited.

I'm in the same boat. I do not receive money back each year. I have to pay additional in April. Therefore, we must wait.

Thanks. It never occurred to me they couldn't use the same bank info they use to come and get money.

I just entered all my info. Of course you can't copy/paste bank numbers, you have to type them in. Oh well...

My 2 college kids who both lost their jobs as a result of this got nothing. No $1200 for them and no $500 to me for them.

Many people use third party services to pay their quarterly payments. You probably wouldn't want your stimulus check to go to your accountant or tax service.
