ONAN MARQUIS 5500

Yesterday, while exercising my Onan 5500, turned both roof a/c's on nothing else. Genset ran with both a/c's on for about an hour then aburptly shut off and would not start again. Went out this AM and started fine? What is going on?

Sounds like the problem I had. The electric fuel pump gets hot and stops. It is a low pressure one, around three pounds.

How many hours on the gen and have you checked the brushes? Do you have the service manual ?

On another forum somebody suggested
"May be equipped with overheat switch, electric current draw to high. Check amp draw on AC units"

If this was the case, and the current draw too high, why would they both run for over an hour"
