Mineral spirits. I had an RV Armor roof put on my trailer and that is what the tech used to clean it with.

I'm using mineral spirits and it's working ok. Bit of a messy job.

You might want to wipe over the area you used mineral spirits on, with acetone or Eternaclean on a rag, before you apply the tape. All of the mineral spirits I've used leave an oily film/residue that will likely weaken the bond of the tape.

That's probly a good idea but I don't have either one, I was going to use a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar, think that would work?

Cleaned up, dicor caulked and ready for the Eternabond.
Old stuff musta been 3".
The alum is quite a bit higher than the rubber, I might run a 3/4" strip of Eternabond next to the alum as a step, the old stuff had holes in it from the wiper seals over the years.
