A few days ago I posted what I thought was informative information on the 1918 pandemic and referred the reader to an excellent book on the subject and listed the name of the book and the author.
It didn't make it to the Forum so listing the book must have been a no no.

I had a post removed once. I had to ask a Moderator why. I think it would be nice here is a post is removed that the Moderators tell us why privately.

Maybe an automatically generated rejection form notice. Something like this:

Advisory: your post was removed for the following reason(s):
(check all that apply)
___ too political
___ too religious
___ too off-topic
___ argumentative tone
___ your rig looks ugly
___ no one likes you
___ your tire needs air
___ just because we can

Sadly, over half the times the mods would check the last one to avoid any other complaining.
Nah, I really don't think they would. I put that line on there for humor but also because it's the thing many folks like to think is the reason their post got removed, and I think having a feedback system in place would actually help head off the false perception.

But maybe they worry that sending a reason would be perceived as an invitation to argue the point, and that wouldn't be too good, either.

Moderating is a tough, mostly thankless job. Sorta like a city garbage collector riding the back of the truck; we're glad he's there, right up until the day he can't take some odd thing you set out because he's not supposed to.

With all the technical issues lately with this forum perhaps your post just vaporized instead of posting.

Even if we do get a corona vaccine I'm thinking maybe 1/2 the population will take it. But I would hope the majority of us over 65 are not 'anti-vaxxers.'

Now, where is the mod going to move this thread to?

Can't remember the last time I had the FLU.......back in the 70's I think and I do NOT get the 'flu shot'
It's quite possible you don't get the flu because others do get the flu shot.

Or just maybe I have a strong immune system cause I guarantee I have been exposed by many folks WITH the flu since the 70's

Is it time for your medication or mine?
