If I skip the generator, I can get a Victron Multiplus inverter for $1,300 and two Tesla battery modules with BMS for around $3,000.

Where did you find Tesla Battery modules for $3k?

They are about $1,100 on Ebay, and the BMS is around $700 to $800.

Hi everyone,
I looking for a small generator that is suitable for my class C and not noisy when I am using it. I can spend less than $1000. Anyone willing to recommend for me.
Thanks

Samantha,

Champion generators seem to be excellent from all I read about them. The last time I checked, the Champion headquarters are right here in California.

Here's a link to their website. I recommend one of their 2000 watt inverter models. They are very, very quiet when their full power is not needed ... as they go up and down in speed (and noise) automatically, depending upon how much power is required of them at any given time.

Note the American flag showing in the upper right of the pictures of some of their models. Stick with picking one of those models - as probably the flag means it's available in the U.S.. https://www.championpowerequipment.com/products/generators/portable-generators/

Thanks so much for recommending it. However, I decided to buy a Honda EU2200i after a few days of thinking. Here's is the link to the website that I order it https://www.rvweb.net/best-rv-generators-reviewed/. Because my RV is a little small so Honda is more suitable for me and it is also not too noisy.

Yep, I got the older Honda 2000 to occaisionly use it with my Class B. Works great & quiet. My house lost power for 3 days 2 weeks ago. The genny powered my fridge, sat tv, and computer with internet connection . I could use the microwave when disconnected from the fridge.
