Clearance looks good but really should have put something down to avoid scratches on the trunk lid.

Why isn't the bumper on the ground if there was ~2500 lbs on the pin. Hitch looks brand new.
Looks like the last time they tried it it slipped off taking the back up lights with it.
Looks like a semi trailer set up, that pin box would give you 3 feet of bed clearance.

Pretty sure that trunk lid would be folded to the bottom of the trunk if the landing gear was lifted. I'm guessing the hitch was hanging off the fiver and they backed the car under it, lowered it so it sits on the trunk and staged the picture.

They at least had sense enough to put the rachet strap on it. Safety first!

Just shows that stupidity, not necessity, is the mother of invention.

If you look carefully at the trunk, you can see where they put some kind of clear covering down over the trunk. It actually looks like one of those office chair mats. You can see the outline of the mat and also the reflection of the hitch. Don't think that reflection would show up otherwise given the condition of the rest of the paint on the car. They probably figured it would spread the load out a bit and make it workable! [emoticon]
I'm kinda surprised there is only one dude on the sidelines with his hand on his chin.
