I need to purchase a plan, and Good Sam's plans are 50% off for new members, which I would be. (July 4th sale, it says, ending soon).
I researched this a year ago, and it seems that many were satisfied with their experience with Good Sam. Coach-net got good reviews also, but they are more than twice as expensive at $179.
I have a 27' TT pulled with a 1/2 ton gas PU, so nothing unusual.
Any comments before I make a decision?

Yes, I do. Much cheaper and covers my RV and autos.
To the OP; you may want to do a little research on this forum on your purchase. There have been many who have complained about GS purchases. There may be a reason its half off...

I'll do that.
Anyone had experience with State Farm for roadside assistance? Everything I have is insured with them. I've never heard of them having roadside assistance programs.

With any,,,,, look at what they cover,,,,,
GS has been repeatedly blasted for having so many exclusions that basically they cover nothing. I'm not sure most others are much better.
So far , we've been lucky, and not needed it, but we have USAA insurance and hope it covers us in Ca next year.

Compare the plans and price first. Takes time, study. Chart it.

Coach Net 6 years, search the threads on no service Good Sams. I'll pay a bit more with the knowledge they will be there if I call. They will not look for reasons your not covered. Forgot to change it from one 5W to another, called with a major break down and learned I had forget to switch. Coach Net, give me the VIN on the new 5W, I have no doubt GS would have been sorry your not covered. $900+ tow bill & all I had to do was sign the invoice. I have written about CN great service every time this comes up. Waiting to be put in GS jail for the bad I have to say about the entire GS & Camping World.

just do your research. Some of the regular auto insurance plans that people talk about on here do providing TOWING service and much more. Some insurance plans only provide TOWING service which is not the same as a Roadside Assistance program. Some will do tire changes on your truck but not your trailer. Be sure you know what is covered.
think about different scenarios such as truck is broken down, will they tow truck and trailer or will trailer be left by side of the road? Two flat tires on trailer, will they bring and change the tires or only change the tires if you have the tires if you have two spares with you? These are the type of questions to ask now while buying a plan, not when you are sitting on the side of the highway.
