I notice that some full-time RVers have a stabilizer jack on their fifth wheel hitch when it's parked. What benefits does the stabilizer jack provide? Is it worth the expense and weight to lug around?

"What benefits does the stabilizer jack provide?"
None.
"Is it worth the expense and weight to lug around?"
No.
If you feel you have too much motion, invest in something like the JT Strongarm stabilizers.

Some have been very happy with them. But most who buy them end up selling them if they can, give them away if they can’t. Used mine for one season and then went with JTs.

I was told they are not good if you have auto-leveling because the auto leveling can adjust slightly as time goes on, so having the stabilizer up front can cause some damage. Same with slide supports.

I had a King Pin Stabilizer. As others have said, they do very little to stabilize anything. A complete waste of money. I sold mine for $20 and I was lucky to get that. Never again.
