My RVP 8000 roof air is drawing a lot of power, it's also vibrating. I suspicious that the motor is going out. Replacement motors are very cheap. Anyone have thoughts on this?

1. Fan motors hardly ever pull enough amps to trip a breaker. Fans run about 2.5 amps max and you are on a dedicated 20 amp breaker
2. Vibration is caused by Impellor/Blade imbalance. This is usually caused by a Mud Insect nest on either the outside fan blade of the inside Impellor squirrel cage. Doug

Yes increased amp draw is an indication the compressor is failing. I believe the best option is to replace the entire upper unit. Get a clamp-on ammeter on the circuit and verify to specification.

There are several things that cause excessive vibration and i've seen a few of 'em not all on my rig
One is a cracked or deformed fan or blower (On my dash air and on another person's RV) another is insect nests (my own) Rarley is it the motor
Also this will kick up the amps an amp or two
It will also reduce air flow
Which can seriously kick up the amps.
Another thing is a clogged air path. This can result in vibration as the air does some strange stuff. And if it is the CONDENSER it will drive up the internal heat in the system. this increases head pressure. Runs the amps up to the point of a breaker trip.
Inspection and cleaning fix most of that. Replace defective fans or blowers.
Home is where I park it.

What is the voltage where you are parked? If the voltage goes down enough the amps will go up.
