RV maintenance

We just got a pre-owned RV that is a couple of years old. It is a 2018 Forest River Sunseeker

But I am not sure what the maintenance schedule on this should be. We will likely be using it every weekend all summer. Normally on a car, it is recommended to get an oil change every 3 months.

What sort of regular maintenance should I be looking at for the RV?

dont forget about the camper half, water intrusion is the death of a camper. lap sealant should be checked a couple times a year and redone as needed. a good roof treatment once a year is nice too
Q: Whats brown and sticky???

A: A Stick....

Find out what year of motorhome it is, then look for a Ford E-350 service schedule for the prior year.

Class C motorhomes built on Ford chassis' should have a front end alignment first. Don't be surprised if it needs parts including shock absorbers. Also have the brakes checked.

As long as the oil is at the full mark, it can wait until fall.

"Extreme usage" usually calls for oil and filter change every 3,000 miles.

Start from a known base. Oil & filter change plus a thorough inspection of everything that moves & wears out. Linkages, bushings, everything. You don't want to be miles from anywhere & have something fail that could have been avoided with a simple inspection.

And no such thing as a recommended three month oil change interval on car.

Find out what year and engine you have and we can give you some advice. No such thing as a Ford 350 engine.
