Small Vessel Disease

It seems the MRI's for vertical double vision uncovered "small vessel disease" in the cerebellum. Dr. Google has a lot of information and it seems that this can cause all manner of issues that most doc's aren't familiar with and attribute to other things.

Has anyone had this diagnoses? What did you do? DH and I are in the middle of rethinking our lives...how we travel and where we live and our health is a big factor.

I started having the floaters and flashing about 3 years ago. My ophthalmologists said it was a detachment of the aqueous humor...the eye gel. First it was right eye...then left a few years later. It looks like a cloud of gnats in front of me. They keep telling me that this is "normal as we age". That's a phrase I get a little tired of hearing. I know we "age" and things happen... but that phrase seems to have become a catch all.

Oddly... the neurologist countered the radiologists read and said he thought SVD in my brain was an "over reach" on the part of the radiologist. Go figure. cts

That's the first doc I went to. Eye Doc conferred with neurology and ran labs and then referred me back to PCP. PCP has referred me to ENT...and maybe neurologist next. I was just wondering if anyone else had ever had this. It would help to know what others did.
