Bighorn National Forest - Hwy 14 or Hwy 16?

We're traveling through Buffalo and Sheridan WY on the way to Bozeman this weekend. We plan to stay near one of the two towns Friday and Sat nights and drive through the NF. Since we don't have time to do both, which Hwy is the most scenic of the two? I couldn't find any opinions on the internet.

Also, any info on places to stay or visit in either town are welcome. Either RV parks or dry camping are okay, we're in a 27 ft TT.

Thanks!

All three main routes through the Bighorns are excellent scenery and not that difficult to drive if you take your time, use your engine and transmission properly, and take it easy on the brakes. If you don't know how to use motor braking, stay off of 14A. Your brakes will thank you.

they are both scenic.
16 is regarded as the easiest of the routes across the Bighorns, but easy doesn't mean boring.
14 (NOT 14A) is a loooonnnngggg descent from Burgess Junction, so watch your brakes. Most folks stop at Shell Water Falls and rest stop and you can smell the hot brakes when you get out of your truck. ๐Ÿ™‚

I personally feel that 16 is the more interesting route of the two.

We've driven both. In my opinion, they are both scenic. Hwy 16 is more rolling hills, so much our sofa shifted while driving this route! Hwy 14 is more mountainous and high elevation forest. We towed up it with a smaller trailer and were fine, but passed a Class A that ran off the side, so take it easy and slow.
