I have a 992 as well. Are you not using a hitch extension?
I am, a 36".
I have a 24" for shorter tongues. my enclosed has a 5' tongue and the receiver is another ~10" so I don't use any extension.

I see that now.
He must have clicked the "newest" button/link at the top and just started posting and not reading the thread title... TWICE.

Exactly what I think is happening, that is why his posts are all over the place and confuses folks.

![[image]](https://i.postimg.cc/rwH0SWyS/gas-light.jpg)
I just ordered a new Humphrey's gas light for my camper.

I'm going to mount it right here between the cabinet doors.
I am stoked.

10 years ago this was my RV, a 1969 Excel TT.
![[image]](https://i.postimg.cc/L5r4Jk3X/IMG-4489.jpg)
This was the first gas light that I installed in the TT.

The vintage TT had a radiant heat furnace which I loved but there was no heat to the bathroom so I installed a 2nd gaslight in there.
It would only take about 15 minutes first thing in the morning to bring the bathroom up to a nice warm toasty temperature.
I am really looking forward to having a gas light in my camper.

I think you meant to say old convection furnace . A forced air furnace requires a fan to operate , which is what most are today .

A gas lamp in a TC almost killed me as a teenager. It was a cold, rainy night and no one noticed the lamp dimming as it used up the oxygen in the camper. I was already asleep from the carbon monoxide when I was carried out into the pouring rain.
Be careful and vent properly.

Glad you're still here.
We used them a lot and always cracked open a window for a little added ventilation.
I always liked using them.
