We have had a porta-potty for years. This year we added a pop-up shower tent. On day trips those and a plastic bucket of TP and hand sanitizer ride just inside the tailgate for day trips. Wife holds leash while I set pot on ground, pop the tent over it.

How come your wife keeps you on a leash? [emoticon]

That's funny.
We have an Aliner and just pop it up to use the porta potty. Takes thirty seconds to open the trailer. Day trips, we too use a tent and porta potty. Both work well.

Replaced with 2019 GMC Canyon
back on the camping trail, bought another Aliner.

You can also put a couple gallons of water in some milk jugs and keep them in the bathroom to flush the toilet.

And I will add that even in below-freezing temps and winterized, you can flush with pink antifreeze when needed. The one time we didn't do that was in single-digit temps because even urine can freeze when cold enough.

Great part about a motor home especially and some trailers of fifths. in that you can go while travelling, in the motor home, DW can go without even stopping. But if possible, find a good place to pull off hte road, not just on the sholder if possible. Reason is that if you pull off onto the shoulder, a friendly Officer may stop behind to see if you are OK. DW nearly had an accident while sitting in passenger seat, waiting for me to get back to my seat. Friendly LEO stopped right outside her window and tapped on it.

If you are in a Motor Home and get stopped in traffic for an extended period, do you let the young pregnant lady in the car next to you use your restroom??

That's never happened to us, we've never been stuck in THAT sort of traffic, no doubt because of our travel habits.

But, since you asked, I would, but in this day of COVID, I'd be sure to hose down with disinfectant afterward.

In our case, we would be very selective. And having to be aware of our limited water supply and waste levels. But like said, it is an old question, and times along with situations change.

Do it all the time. Rather than driving with water in our tanks, we also simply fill empty gallon milk jugs with lids with water to pour into the bowl after each use. Easy, simple, and no need to even use the water pump! Just be sure to use only as much T-Paper as necessary and to add extra water once you're set up in a campsite. Helps avoid clogs when emptying the black tanks. Suggest you always make sure the black tank is full when you empty it as well. Creates a much better flow and also helps avoid a clog. Happy camping!
