You don't keep wheel seals from leaking by running them dry! Look at all the OTR trucks with wet bearings. I converted all my truck and trailer axles, in the early 70s, to oil and that was the end of any lube or leaking problems.
I hold my thumb over the hole and fill to the top, about 5 qts. and that gets oil up into the axle tubes. Then I find a steep road bank and drive on the slope, both ways, to get plenty of oil to the hubs. I also run oil on my 5er and I rigged the center plugs so I get more oil in them. Craig

You should get your facts straight.

My OE didn't make it 20k and was SHOT per Blackstone Lab report

Per this White Paper Report that's not shocking.

OEM Mopar lube came in second to last out of all the lubes checked.

An article by Amsoil Inc. lol!

Mine was as well. I had a chattering while turning when taking off pulling the trailer. I replaced it with Amsoil and the chattering instantly disappeared.

But, But isn't that stuff just from other oil Companies they dump in a barrel and stir with a paint mixer???????

I didn’t realize Ram trucks went back to friction disc LS differentials that would chatter when in need of friction additives. Interesting story. [emoticon]

HMMMM, ok then this is for others to consume.

"AMSOIL Inc. is an American corporation based in Superior, Wisconsin that primarily formulates and packages synthetic lubricants, fuel additives, and filters. Company founder Albert J. Amatuzio developed several synthetic motor oil formulations throughout the mid-to-late 1960s. He was commercially selling synthetic motor oil by 1968. In 1972, AMSOIL 10W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil became the world's first synthetic motor oil to meet American Petroleum Institute requirements,[1] which prompted the company to adopt "The First in Synthetics®" as its tagline. The company introduced several other synthetic lubricants that represented industry firsts throughout the 1970s and early 1980s.[2] It distributes products in North America via a network of independent dealers following a direct-marketing business model."

It would be interesting to know if its Mobil or whomever they buy their additives ,oil etc from , and package it . They sure didn't make it, but may blend it . I doubt very much Amsoil is a refinery of any of the oil or additives, they just buy it .
