I've burned out google and the other ones trying to find an electric powered patio umbrella. They have some in the UK and Belgium but shipping would be a killer and wrong power source (220). It could be either 120AC or 12DC. Home Depot.com has a spring loaded assist one but there's too many complaints they don't work well. Situation is my wife can't squeeze anything or operate a crank with her hands, bad nerve problem. If I put it up, I have to stay around if it gets windy or heavy rain. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks. We don't want one of those wall mounted awnings either.

Is this a portable umbrella, or permanent mount at home?

It would be on the deck at home, more or less permanent at home.
