I would guess it will work. Since you have the generator give it a try and let us know.

Are you looking for In-Stock Off-the-Shelf today or within the 10 day window? Buddy ordered one over this weekend and his email yesterday said delivery next week Friday.

Generator cost more than an RV AC unit ... I would first ask if 13.5 AC can be started with your current generator. Just my 02.

It won't unless you have one of the new Easy Start modules on your AC. It's the initial draw of power that's the killer on the generator.

I think it will, but only if you parallel connect it with another generator.
Is that the answer you are looking for? .

I have a 15k a/c and it will start and run it for a few seconds (honda EU2000i) then go into overload. Thats with genset all warmed up, not in eco mode....
Even if yours does run it, I doubt it will last the first cooling cycle before it kicks off.

This is the kind of question that is tough to answer because
Sometimes they do, Sometimes they don't.
When I did my first upgrade from 13.5 to 15 KBTU turns out the running current was identical.. Starting i'm not so sure of (I think it took a bit more) but with a soft start they sucked about the same. BUT my 2nd one takes 1/2 amp (About 50 watts) more and with a Honda 2000.. you may well not have the spare half amp (might be 2 or 3 amps starting) plus it starts much "Harder".
So.. you won't know till you try.
Home is where I park it.
