Garage Door Question

I have a KZ Venom, 4012tk. Can I travel with the door from the living room to the garage open? I’d really like to prop it open and poke the nose of my kayaks through it when they’re loaded. My garage is 12 foot, kayaks are 12’3”. It would be much easier to load them and bikes if they could ride front to back instead of diagonal.

We like closing the door when the kids sleep. The happijack beds have to be up to put the four bikes in (and I think that they recommend them to be up to travel?). I can't see why the door couldn't ride open, I would assume the door frame is the structural aspect of the door and the loft above... but I don't why to learn the hard way either.

Why not just remove the door and set it on a bed?
