Is there something wrong with the S-6
I'm using an S-5, still does everything I want
That S20 is around $500 cash, when purchased out right
Try an S8 or S9

Go to Verizon or AT&T, get a samsung Ultra 5G, with a monthly payment, and whatever size plan you want. Get the most recent thing on the market, and keep it for at least a year after it pays out. And spend a while watching for deals. Go to the store, and they will tell you when to expect a new deal coming up, and sometimes will call you when it is available.

What you have is a Samsung phone with an Android operating system, plus a bunch of Samsung brand add-ons in the software. I used to have one.
Go to Swappa.com and buy a used Pixel 3 or later phone, from a seller with good ratings.
It's made by Google and has ONLY the android operating system, without all the Samsung add-ons. Works like a dream.
But truthfully sounds like you don't really need a good phone, just something that works. What do you want to do that your current phone doesn't? Or are you just concerned about it getting old?
Whatever you want, Swappa.com is a good place to buy used.
Check with whoever your cell phone carrier is, and make sure you can keep that plan with a different phone, or make sure what phones will work with it. Sounds like you have something like Straight Talk or Consumer something or other.

RobWNY, that's exactly what I'm asking. I don't know the difference between a Samsung S series and the A series. All I want is a reliable phone with decent battery life, camera and storage. Oh yeah, and ease of use. What is the difference between the A series and the S series? Other than price?

Why are you unhappy with the battery life, camera, and storage of your present S6 Samsung phone? Just wondering.

If you're looking for a Samsung smartphone, you can choose from different series. The Samsung Galaxy S models are the high-end devices. In the Galaxy A series, you have both mid-range and more affordable devices (the old J series). The higher the number after the A, the better the device is.Aug 5, 2020

I moved from a Samsung s-8 to a Motorola G Power which cost about $250 and have been very happy. The Moto was less expensive, similar capabilities, better battery power, more advanced operating system, and is more durable than the S-8 which is prone cracking screens.
