Considering a '17 3500 Ram

As the title says, looking for comments from the Ram owners. Has the HO with Aisin. Mega cab with Laramie trim. 55,000 miles. Any thoughts, comments? Does it have heat/AC vents under the front seats for the rear passengers? Weird question but important one for us.

Thanks

Looks like we can end this discussion regarding this specific truck. It has been sold.

Mine is also sold so I think I'll be waiting till the spring to replace it. Not going to Florida this winter, so no need for a truck till then.

60,000 miles on my 2017 SWB 4x4 3500 HO with the Aisin tranny. A perfect match for my 5th wheel Toy hauler. Its been perfect. All most all the miles towing.

He was asking about vents for the rear passengers, not vented seats in the rear. They will have heat and AC ducting for the passengers, but not heated/cooled/vented seats.

Mine has heated ,but not cooled rear seats .

My 2014 Laramie has two vents in the back side of the center console for heating ,and air conditioning blowing on the passengers. Plus the seats are heated. But no cooled seats like in the front . Mine is also the Megacab , wouldn't be without, thats where the fly rods go, behind the back seat . I usually leave at least three strung up, and ready to go back there :B

Thanks all. Curious about fuel mileage pulling 10k at 65mph. 10-12 mpg US?

Forgot to add it's SRW.

We get close to that with our 2016 3500 DRW pulling about 13,000# at 65 mph.

does this truck have the options you are looking for?

Yes. It has the 5th wheel prep which is nice to have also. I'm on the fence when to buy. Mine will be sold this week based on the interest. Five waiting to come see it.

The reason used trucks are getting big prices right now is the reason I should wait till the spring. Supply and demand.

Truck will be sitting all winter so I'm thinking I should be in no hurry to get a replacement.

Decisions!!!

My 2500 tows a 9500 lbs travel trailer, usually in the 68 mph range. Relatively flat (like I95 to Florida) will get me 12 to 12.5 round trip (2000 miles). Western PA hills will get me closer to 11.

Got a 17 2500. Love it, wish I could have found the Megacab, but still room in the backseat for the kids. I also wish I could've gotten the Aisin, but still have had no major problems. I average about 10 mpg pulling a 10k TT, but I'm also running slightly larger than stock tires.

Sounds like a great truck. Not sure you will make that 10 - 12 MPG average towing an RV at 65 though.......
