Overnight in Clinton...library/wifi has nice on-street street parking....roll out the bbq and have at'r....

Checkout Bull Canyon Provincial campground just east of Alexis Creek. Nice little campground on the Chilcotin River.

Was just wondering how far north the smoke is. Getting away from Penticton seems like a good thing right now.

And it is closed, Soup. Barred and locked. I guess they closed it right after Labour Day. We over nighted on Pinto Lake at a Rec Site.

Of course, by now, Sunday morning, the smoke seems to have cleared from BC. We got into lighter smoke in the Shuswap, but never free of it, even in Williams Lake.

Now, in Bella Coola...no smoke...rain, yes.

I have been down the Hill twice..and this time was the hardest. The RV I am pushing is some heavy...I am going to have to look into a serious upgrade in overall braking ability. About a 1/3 of the way down, brakes were smoking, and I was moving along in 2nd. I stopped and went to 4lo for a much safer/slower drive down. Coming back up, I went to 4hi.

As for the reasons of going...you know, if you made it as far as Anahim Lake...you have seen the best. The cattle country. The ranches. Bella Coola is...well, in all honesty, I wouldn't recommend to a non-fisher to go. Some of it is the one-upmaneship.."I went"...they could sell bumper stickers.
