Hi folks,
My in-laws bought a Hymer just before the company went under. It's been a problematic machine since new with several ongoing issues, largely electric.
They bought it new from a large RV dealer in southern Ontario, but since Hymer went under (nullifying warranty - but since came off) they seem to have no interest or ability to fix this German made machine.
I know this is a long shot, but does anyone (from Canada) know of a reputable RV place that can service this brand in southern Ontario they have personal knowledge of?
I could have posted this on the Class B page, but there isn't much activity there, so I thought I would post here as it's a bigger audience.
I feel for these folks, so I'm trying to help. They should have bought a brand from this of the ocean, but they were new to the game and didn't expect the company going under.
Thanks!

Electrical issues. Auto steps not working right and an electric drain that cannot be traced.

Whoever you find, make sure they have some experience working on Hymer or at least are knowledgeable with German technology. German engineers are prone to over-engineer the **** out of everything they get involved with, which sometimes makes it difficult for others to decode and work on. I own a Sprinter based RV - when it's running it's great, but when it breaks you need a German trained tech, a priest and a chicken to offer in sacrifice (plus deep pockets).

Where are all the voices crying for foreign involvement in the RV Industry here? Apparently even German made RVs have quality issues too.

you could try Owasco RV just the other side of Oshawa. They service and sell many makes and models including many class B's.
