I like the little device and hope it catches on. We got a couple of them at a casino a few months back. Didnt pay much attention. Then saw a picture of one in use and realized what they had given us. I got no problem with the gross people strolling the casino using one of them to push the elevator button instead of their finger. I think it absolutely reduces the amount of germs someone is going to leave hanging around. We are talking about the type of people who rub their nose without thinking. Germs dont last forever so yes they probably have put germs onto the tip of the device. But there is a high chance those germs have already died and the new germs from the dude just rubbing his nose wont reach the elevator button if he can grab his little device and push the button without getting his snot on the tip of it.

Just wash your hands.
No need to use a public restroom. That's why you have a RV.

Nitrile gloves from Harbor Freight. Change them frequently; peel the used ones off without touching the outer surface.
Lysol (or alcohol) wipes in a ziplock baggie. Wipe the baggie after each use, then throw the wipe(s) away.
Be sure your mask is an approved type, and be sure it covers your nose. Wash the mask daily, or let it sit in bright sunlight for several hours. If the mask feels damp, replace it.
If you are very, very careful, you might live another year.
Then again, perhaps not...

Over washing your hands is not healthy. The natural oils keep your hands from drying out and cracking. Those little germs like to enter those cracks. I often wonder how mankind has survived on this filthy planet so long.

My daughter gave me one. It's still sitting on the kitchen counter. Probably will still be there when she visits next.

For one time use, buy those vinyl food handler gloves at something like $5 for a gazillion. I've been using them for years while refueling, checking fluid levels, messing with sanitary stuff and anytime I don't want to touch something with my bare hands. They won't hold up to rugged use, but for opening bathroom doors, pressing buttons on stuff, and even handling merchandise in stores, you can't beat the price and convenience. And even if they do get a split, that is easily solved with soap and water!

I think they are kind of silly looking. BUT, I am brought back to a day sitting in line at the ATM. Woman ahead of me pulls up puts her card in.then starts rooting around knuckle deep in her nose. pulls it out inspects and the dives back in for another go.
I went to another machine and payed their fee.
