I have a gen-y torsion hitch for my truck and dump trailer. I have been looking at buying the adapter that gen-y makes to put a weight distribution hitch into the gen-y hitch receiver.
Does anybody use one?
https://genyhitch.com/product/gen-y-weight-distribution-shank/?attribute_pa_receiver-size=2-receiver-10k-16k&gclid=Cj0KCQjwtsv7BRCmARIsANu-CQee2I7qaLUBzM_RvhiIIHIw4dbryae2Go86yNV26_GNP0OyMgCFcboaAv2HEALw_wcB
Thanks for any advice. Not sure the gen-y hitch is so good that I would want to buy another with the weight distribution shank built in.

Never heard of it.
After having looked at the website, I do not see the point.
What does putting the big clunky thing in between your receiver and your WD shank buy you?
Putting 10-ply tires on half ton trucks since aught-four.

Seems like an excellent way to waste a large sum of money.

I don't get it. Why have all that extra mass and hitch distance? Besides that being a rediculously overpriced shank (which does the same thing as any other shank), it's adjustable, so why bother with the extra adjustments and hitch slop with the Gen-y platform?

If you go out to their main website, it seems they sell hitch shanks with some sort of torsion suspension on them.
A WD hitch would not work on their regular products.
