Colorado Springs Dodge is where I have all my service done. I did not purchase my truck from them but they are always fast in scheduling work. Recently my radiator cracked and I called them on Monday and got it in on Wed. for the new one. During the time they had it one of my dually fenders was damaged. They took care of all the body work plus fixing a dent I had put in it for no charge. They didn't like the first paint job so shot it all again and did a great job.

That is pretty impressive, sounds like an outstanding dealership.

A great lesson for those that are just too busy to get recalls taken care of. The OP lucked out big time.

OP here.

Getting recalls done promptly requires the cooperation of both, the dealer, and the vehicle owner. Very hard to get a recall done promptly when your local dealer is very busy, unaccommodating, and lacks customer focus. If Colorado Springs Dodge had been our local dealer, no doubt we would have gotten this recall accomplished much, much sooner.

The "great lesson" here: some dealers provide exceptional service---some don't.

I have had recalls done at two different Arizona dealers and one Washington dealer. All three have been accommodating. I stopped at a Twin Falls, Id dealer after throwing a code in the middle of nowhere Nevada(AKA BFE). That dealer said they were a week out to work on a diesel truck, so I had them reset the code and continued on home to Washington.
