They wife and I were talking about the Canadian snowbirds situation today and how it will affect AZ, RGV and FL. Is there any accurate information about the number of Canadians that come south for the winter? I know from our personal experience that many of the campgrounds/RV resorts that we have wintered in had a significant number of Canadians. If they all are caught north of the boarder, there are going to be a lot of vacancies. Please keep the political comments to yourselves!

tens of thousands is more like it. this story states that canadians own or rent 100,000 homes in AZ. article is unclear if "homes" include park models or annually leased RV spaces. in our park last year the most comon license plate was canadian.

“They” are not all “caught” north of our border. Welcome to those Canadians who are in the U.S.

We have a place in an over-55 community in Mesa. 400+ units. Probably 40% Canadian.
This year, since they cannot drive down, many are just not coming. A bunch of units have gone up for sale, and a bunch more will stay empty this winter.
Sad situation.

What is the actual US govt official policy? Are Canadian snowbirds allow to enter the US or not? Does it make any difference if they travel by ground or air? After seeing the thread about the Canadian couple that tried to enter the US to go Mexico and were denied entry into the US I assumed Canadians were not allowed to travel in the US.

"Quebec In Florida is exactly that ! A site catering for and serving the Quebecers that visit or live in Florida. Every year, about 700,000 “snow birds” from Quebec visit Florida, the majority of which are French Canadians"

....in 1946, south Florida (Broward, West Palm Beach, etc...) was called "Floribec". No kidding.

....we were bringing our RV down to Florida (in 6 weeks), and renting the condo we normally rent (for the past 7 years). So, condo and RV. Pretty sweet. We had to lop-off reservation months (5 months of them) one month at a time, as the refund deadlines approached. Now, we are 100% cancelled. I checked the reservations 2 days ago that we vacated....and they were completely booked solid again, probably by US snowbirds.

I would say, IMO, that there will be few vacancies in Florida this winter.
