We're on the fence for now. Will probably cancel the last week that had us close to Daytona for the race. I can watch it at home but it won't be near as much fun. If those stands are allowed to be full I want no part of it.

We went to 'Dega 2 weeks ago, They had everyone so spread out. 1st row, 2-4 people on each end, 2nd row empty, 3rd row 4 people in the middle, 4th row empty, 5th row 2-4 people on each end. No lines at the bathroom, or concessions. Really weird how empty it was.

I wonder what the percentage rate of infection is, not just the total. You may find that where you plan on staying is more infected than your Florida location. It is not just the number of infections or deaths. Example: the population where you are is 2,000, but there have been 1,000 infections and 100 deaths. The population in your area in Florida is 200,000 with the same 1,000 infections and 100 deaths. It is easy to see in this example where one would be safer.

We're heading to the Phoenix area as soon as possible - lots of stuff to wrap up at "home" before leaving.
Getting dark here, long shadows, storm after storm - always wet and never quite dries out.
Sorry to hear about the RV spot sublease disaster.
That could be a sweet deal for someone.

We've been retired just a couple years, and snowbird only for the second half of winter. We've only gone southwest because of Florida being crowded, expensive and impossible to find spots... don't want the hassle.
But since so many people seem to be canceling trips for this winter, I thought this could be our chance to see Florida. While many places are still booked solid, I managed to get reservations for a couple weeks in Florida before heading to the desert. Hopefully conditions are headed in the right direction by then.

Well traffic has picked up in the last two weeks here in Yuma, AZ. We got back September 18. Even spotted several Alberta plated vehicles.

Bucky, if the roof of your RV is sturdy or the back of your dually is roomy, there might be room in the RV parking lot near the track to do a set up with chairs and binoculars to watch the races. You would then not be wading through the crowds. And, of course, your eats and restroom would be in your RV.

We came home early in March and have been home since, no summer trips this year.
If we had our own spot I believe we would go south but since we normally travel every week or two, we will be staying home for the foreseeable future.
We are on some lists to get our own spot, but haven't reached the top of the list yet.
Build a life you don't need a vacation from.

Sadly, I am afraid we will not be going anywhere, didn't make it last year either, the wife's health is very poor. I am afraid we may never be able to go again as age and health is catching up with us. We even cancelled our trip to Montana this summer to see the wife's sister, mostly because of this **** pandemic!
