I wish I would have bought some for my last set. I got BF Goodrich Commercial tires, too noisy for my taste.

I got an unbelievable 80K out on each of 3 sets on my last truck.
What size are the tires on your truck? My Ram DRW takes 235/80R17 and these tires aren't made in that size. I'm not too keen on the other offerings Michelin has, so I'm not sure what route I'm going to take.
I have Defenders on my Yukon though and they are great so far.
I went up to 245/80/17s on my DRW. A lot more tire options. I didn't see a drop in mpg, might be an option for you to give you more tire options.
I don't think many around here are sorry to this tire leave.
you beat me to it. I also put 245/80/r17 on my dually

Discount Tire just called and they can not get the Defender. They tell me that the Agilis CrossClimate is what Michelin is recommending for tow vehicles. Also, Discount says that their experience is that they get 10-20k miles better tread wear. It is a 10 ply with same load/speed rating as the Defender.
I've always had great success with Michelin. Might give them a try.

Just had 2 delivered from SimpleTire.com
My rears had been on for 6 years and who knows how many miles. They were down to the wear bars. The fronts were put on two years ago and still look new.

Its the Winter performance. Not just snow but cold weather performance. The colder it gets the less these tires lock up in icy conditions. They may last a long time, and perhaps that rubber technology that allows for that, doesn't contribute to being a good Winter tire. I am not exaggerating it is hard to find tire shops willing to take these new tires on trade. They don't sell well here. During the Winter especially and you ask guys that have them, nearly everyone complains about them in the Winter. I had a set on a new 3500 SRW pickup last year. One loaded pull in tough weather and I pulled them off and put EXO Grapplers on. I will never see the mileage out of them that you would out of the Michelins, but staying on the road is more important than total mileage out of the tires.

Are you guys sure it's 245 80 R17? I see 245 75 R17 but not the other size. 245 75 R17 may be better for me because they are slightly smaller and I'm already towing a bit nose high.
