How should i care for them during winter? Also, if you plug in your TT does it keep your batteries charged or do I need to get a trickle down charger for each battery? If you don't keep it plugged remove the batteries and put them somewhere where it doesn't get extremely cold. A good full charged battery will stay full charged as long as there is no load on it. Check the water level, add distilled water if necessary. Fully charge the batteries then disconnect either the negative cable or the positive cable. Come back next spring and re-charge the 10% of charge the batteries will lose over the winter. I have been doing this with my existing batteries for 8 years and they are still going strong. Some can trickle charges correctly ...others not so. We winterize for 6-7 months and I've found out the hard way I'm better off taking them out and plug them in to a trickle charger in my garage. My garage never freezes unlike my trailer shed. If you leave them plugged in to a converter be sure and check them till your sure things are charging as they should. I used to work for a boat yard and when we winterized boats we'd just make sure they were charged and unhook them. We only removed them at customers request. I've never had an issue leaving them on the camper or in the boat. If its your batterys time it's its time. leaving it in the cold or on the concrete won't matter. Old wives tails lol. Then I hook it up to a Solar battery trickle charger. Works well. Last battery lasted 7 years, and it wasn't dead when I replaced it. Good to go. 8 months later when I come back to it, I flip the battery disconnect switch and run out the slide, dewinterize, good to go again.
