So I loaded up some old junk and took a ride to the town dump yesterday. You pay by the ton so they weigh you going in and coming out.

What they are showing as tare is just me and 1/2 tank of diesel....is the truck in my signature truck really that heavy?

That's about what my 2011 - F450 weighs so I would say it isn't unrealistic.

My V-10 Excursion weighed 7400 with me and a 1/2 tank. So with a diese I would say that is pretty close!

Seems in the ballpark..based on my F250 and old K2500 crew cab (both with topper, me, fuel, 6.5' bed) being anywhere from 650 - 800#'s lighter.

That's too much for that truck. You need to go on a diet!!: Kidding!!
I think my Chevy is up in that range, but I don't have any of the slips from my last few dump runs.
