I've looked at various Class As in my price range, around 20k, and like the late 90s to early 2000s Rexhall like this one
https://sacramento.craigslist.org/rvd/d/sacramento-2002-rexhall-american/7215301208.html
However this DP caught my eye

I realize these are completely different animals, and while my wife prefers the colors and look of the Rexhall interior I know the DP is a much more substantial vehicle. My only worry is the cost of maintaining it. What do you think?

Class As in the twenty thousand dollar range will require a detailed inspection so you know the condition issues of the A. Motor, transmission service records too.

It's still there. For some reason these links only work if you copy and paste them.

Even if it checks out, it would be a real cost saver in the long run if you can turn a wrench.

Diesel = more power than gas but higher maintenance unless your able to do some of the basics. You'll like the lighter colors also.

I'd rather not wrench myself. I do have a mechanic who can come to my house who's reasonable and could cover the basic maintenance. Isn't the ride quality, noise level, stability, etc., much better with the DP?
