Me as well. I wonder who his replacement will be. No one will ever be able to fill his shoes.

He announced he had cancer along time ago, Don't remember how long but he gave it a good fight.

He fought pancreatic cancer for two years. Barker retired in 2007 and is now an animal-rights activist.

Ken Jennings will be the replacement - not sure if he will succeed though. And, no one can replace an Icon like Alex. Similar to Johnny Carson ... we enjoyed his show and delivery - but none of his replacements engaged us enough to watch it.

He will be missed. As with replacing any icon, you don't want to be the first one following the person. The bar that is set is usually insurmountable in the short term.
