Just got a new Imagine 3250BH and the dealer has the connection and propane tanks facing the back of the unit. It doesn't make it very user friendly to see which tank is on or reach. They gave me a reason, but I can't remember what it was. Any problem with switching them around?

I have had four trailers and they all have been like that.
I can only guess it is to protect the connections and handles from road scum and flying debris. I wouldn't change them for that reason

Doesn't that trailer come with a cover over the propane CYLINDERS?
So Dealer's reason is mute
Swap cylinders around ...replumbing the connections/auto changeover towards front
Put cover back on

I though propane cylinders on a trailer tongue were REQUIRED to be covered. Yours aren’t out in the open are they?

The bottles should be mounted so the collar protects the valve in a collision.

I have 40lb tanks without cover because there aren't any made if they are made, somebody plz provide a link.
BTW I just viewed several youtube "Propane" titles and the tanks are all facing forward. Here's a couple. Just saying.

It's a matter of how the tank was on the ground before the tech connected them. Half the time they'll be facing backward, half the time they'll be facing forward....
And no, I don't think there's a requirement to have a cover on tongue mounted tanks. It's for cosmetic purposes and serves zero safety protection aside from stopping the tanks from prematurely rusting out.

In all one trailer that I have owned, they were facing backward. However, I am tall enough that it is not a problem for me.

Yes, I have a tank cover. When I take it (the cover) off and the regulator is facing the rear, it is very difficult to see the red/green indicator. I was planning on flipping it around when I refill one of the tanks. I just wanted to know the reason they were facing the rear in the first place.
Thanks for your replies.
