If they still make it , I would use sizing underneath it. This was popular when people were doing this in the kitchens in the 70s and 80s. Same stuff you use under wallpaper. A paint supplier should know and have it.

I agree.....40+ years as a general contractor....glue it down. You might even consider water proofing the plywood/osb subfloor before installing anything.

Just remember once you glue it down it is not ever going to come up without destroying the subfloor.

That was my thinking. I was thinking of going with the floating laminate, from what I see it works well in Rv's. They just snap together ,no sticking ,no glue.

I have no experience in this area but why do you recommend against? Does the peel and stick start lifting the first time the floor freezes in winter or something?
Simply does NOT stay stuck for the long haul. Floor prep must be perfect and spotless for full adhesion. Even then it's a NO BUENO!!!

I've installed lots of LVT and LVP. The best stuff is the more flexible with a stronger click together lock. Some I have had to glue the edge pieces only to get the field tiles or planks to stay together because the clicking or locking edges were not made very well. Try to get the stuff that has a tendency to relax and conform to any imperfections as this stuff tends to be flexible or vinyl like. The stuff that has a more rigid surface can warp in the sun.
I wouldn't glue the whole floor. Makes it harder to replace. just glue the edge pieces. To avoid glue we have even pin nailed the edges and smaller pieces. We try to nail with the pin nails (one inch long) where the baseboard will hide the nail. Harder surfaces can shatter or blow the surface when nailed.

We installed snap lock vinyl flooring in our 5er, we full time so no huge temperature changes, package stated not for use in RV's! Still looking great.

I did peal and stick in a TT once when I redid the floor. A few pieces came loose the first year. I just put them back in place and stood on them for a minute to re-stick them. By the second year they were all stuck good. It was my fault for not doing a good prep job.
