Watched it from my daughters front porch. What an amazing sight. Saw the separation of the first part of it too. Incredible still to me and I was in missile command at one time.

As a comparison, Apollo 11 took 12 minutes to reach earth orbit. Then 1-1/2 orbits before trans-lunar injection.

As a winter resident on the Space Coast, our condo complex is home to many NASA employees and former employees/affiliates. It's like a tailgater, with residents lining the Intracoastal to watch the launch and telling tales of the early days of the Space Program. I've seen dozens of launches and booster re-entries, and it never gets old :-)

I am awestruck and impressed with the whole thing. The first stage landing itself on a barge, the entire mission being automated with no input needed from humans, including the perfect docking maneuver. Way cool.

I agree.
The reusable first stage is crazy to me. Being able to turn it around, bring it back, and land it upright , almost seems like magic.
