I was 21 and at work building house trailers (mobile homes now) and a new rv TT line.
Supervisor came by and says the president was just shot. As the news spread to about 50 employees the building got quiet.

Even at 7-1/2 years old, I had my heart ripped out that day. Thinking back, it is amazing how we all, as young children, felt about it.

I was in 7th grade public school classroom with teacher Dear Mrs Saybolt (RIP)...Announcement came over the PA from School Principle...A stunned cassroom went absolutely silent, at which time Mrs Saybolt bowed her dear head and said aloud a calming prayer to the entire classroom...
This was truly in a different era...JMO

I had taken over the dairy farm that I grew up on, this was my 3rd out of HS. When I came in from picking corn, I found about it.
I was in the Michigan National Guard., 105mm Artillery. I learned that we were to fire our cannons at noon and again at 6 m at the Capital.
Most of the guys worked 9 to 5. so at the noon Salute it would be harder to get guys to work, so I contact the Armory that I was available for the Noon Salute.
We rolled into the Capital and set up our Guns. I pulled the Lanyard on the first Gun, and all the leaves from the trees in front of us came falling down.

I sure do remember that day, I was a TI at Lackland AFB,TX. We were having a Parade. Going into the first left turn on the parade field a runner came up to our mass commander and gave us the news. We did finish the Parade. I was on CQ that night and the telephone never stopped ringing.

15 years old, 9th grade freshman gym class in high school, Coach Denton our PhysEd teacher was listening to a report on the radio at his desk in his office, several other teachers were also there
He assembled us in the gym, rest of the school soon arrived for the special assembly, where the principal made the announcement, school was dismissed early, And because school was cancelled/closed until after JFK funeral, I was home watching TV and saw Ruby shoot Oswald on live TV news,
