I am looking to replace the 1141 incandesant bulbs in my scare lights. I would like to find brighter LED's to use. Does anyone have any suggestions?

1156 is brighter. Here's the description: the 1156 replaces the 1141, has the same physical characteristics, is brighter (26.9W vs 18.4) and uses more current (2.1A vs 1.44).

Took out the old and replaced it with LED 1156 equivalent I believe. Many variations some with a few leds some with many more. I paid too much an an RV parts place about 11.00, I think. On line many a lot cheaper. I installed the longest one that would fit. They will fit all the bay or luggage compartment lights too and 12 volt lights inside but might be a bit intense. On line they list the brightness in degrees kelvin, I think.

A standard 1156 may melt the lens.

I do not use them often, but the two in the rear act as back-up lights.

The old 1156 is to hot and melts the cover. Use the replacement with LED bulbs

I ordered replacement LED bulbs last year and they worked great. They aren't holding up very well though. I think the road is too punishing for them and they're starting to burn out now (about 15,000 miles later).
I'm not too mad though. They've worked well and this doesn't seem like horrible performance to me.
