Looking at your signature picture I can see why you need a RAM 3500 dually to pull your TT and carry all that weight. lol

I just saw an article online about this. Ridiculous... going 100 lbs over the F450 to claim some imaginary award? They all tow exceptionally well. Rather than petty little max towing awards, how about making them (not just Ram, but Ford and GM) more reliable, more fuel efficient, more competitively priced etc.

They are competitively priced, not cheap, but competitive.

They are selling everything that they can make. That implies that cost is not a problem for them.

They also are more fuel efficient if you compare them to previous years. Pretty impressive when they can do that and increase power.
I love the power wars. There isn’t a bad HD truck out there today.

Or that banks are handing out 7 and 10 year loans to make them affordable in monthly payments.
There are many nice features on the newer trucks, but with 385HP & 800 lbs-ft my 2014 will tow a ridiculous amount for a 2500 series truck. The new ones are enticing, but so is no payment ![biggrin [emoticon]](https://forums.goodsamclub.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/biggrin.gif)

Raising the torque to 1075 lbft should allow the 6 speed Ram to compete very closely with the Ford and GM.
Edit: It might be a bit of a stretch to expect it to compete with the Powerstroke.

1075! Yea baby!
Ram has been strangely silent about the Powerline 8 speed. Once that is in place Ram will be truly competitive or class leading IMO.
And fwiw, I have it on good order that the Powerline will start going in the Rams sometime in 2021.
