Somehow I threw away my November issue of Motorhome Magazine before I scanned the article, Southern Maryland Sojourn. My family and I would like to go to that part of Maryland this coming summer and really need to reread that article. If anyone has it, would you please scan it and send it to me. Thank you in advance.

Didn't read the article but Point Lookout State Park is a beautiful park just south of Scotland. Well kept and extremely peaceful!

If no one responds I'd suggesting calling the magazine and asking for the issue. They may supply it for free.

I'm no legal expert, but asking for a photocopy of a copyrighted publication on the website owned by the mag's publisher is probably a no-no. ![biggrin [emoticon]](https://forums.goodsamclub.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/biggrin.gif)

It really is... but I caution against going in the summer. While the park is on the water, the sites aren't. The sites are on a marshy area with tall grasses full of ticks and bugs. It gets HOT and STUFFY there in the summertime. But St Mary's is a beautiful county with lots of nice older waterfront and fishing towns.
If you are there, Chaptico Market has great fried chicken (not as good as it once was, but what is?) and Nicoletti's Pizza on 235 by Chancellors Run Rd is good local pizza (just don't expect NY style).

What part of southern MD do you have in mind? The Western Shore or the Eastern Shore. The Eastern Shore is a whole nuther world. The further down & away from the highway you go, the further back in time you travel. The dialect is very much old English to the ear.
Drive out to the end of the road at someplace like Hoopersville & you almost feel like you are in the remote north someplace were it not for the air traffic in & out of Baltimore & Washington. There are some great SPs on the Eastern Shore too. Wonderful kayaking in parks such as James Island SP, Crisfield & Martinak SP on the Choptank River, Denton.

Southern MD as recognized does not include the Eastern Shore. It is basically the mainland south of US 50 along the path of 301 both E and W to the water of the bay and the Potomac river and down to the VA line. Including the Eastern Shore in a conversation about Southern MD will offend both parties.

I agree to Marylander's southern MD always refers to the mainland. The eastern shore
is it's own thing. The 2 regions are seldom confused by locals

OK, have to agree, the Eastern Shore would probably secede if given the opportunity & remove the Bay Bridge. Too many 'come here's' over there these days.
Coming from the north it is still a great idea to bear left off of 95 at Wilmington & follow your nose to the smell of chicken manure & crabs.
