Disposable masks don’t seal at all, afaic.

Even a non-medical professional like me can tell that the majority of the air I’m breathing isn’t going through the mask. It’s going around it. The amount going through it is negligible, especially after it gets a little moisture-laden. The only thing short of a respirator that’s intended to filter the air is an N95.

But I still wear a mask (one at a time), because I know what they are supposed to do. And it’s not filtering the air.

Amazing how many people believe that wearing a flimsy cloth mask protects YOU from the virus.

Our home made pieces of cloth with strings on them do NOTHING to protect YOU. It's to keep your spittle from landing in someones face when you talk, or sneeze or cough.

I have worn a cloth mask for a year now and so far it has protected me well and I am no hermit. I am 74 with mild IHD and SA. Not even a cold or flu unlike past years. I wonder how many people past year has died from the flu or other virus infections and not covid. They don't bother to tell you this in midst of all the chaos and conflicting statements from so called "experts". Maybe now everyone dies from china virus.

My temperature is checked several times a week at the casinos and all is well. Staying active and well. Cheers. Burp, Burp

Where's the science that 2 masks are better than one? Opinions are like rectums, everyone has one.

BTW, Fauci has been wrong more times than not. If Fauci was playing baseball, his batting average would be underwater. If Fauci was my financial consultant, I would be homeless today.

When the "smart people" are clueless, kinda hard to join their conga line.

Fauci, the new Bat Boy ... [emoticon]

He contradicts himself often. Generally, that means he's towing a script. People with knowledge in their profession do not contradict their own comments and need no script to explain themselves.

Or maybe it is because there are fewer new cases every day and there are a few ICU beds actually available now.

Either way if he goes down it is far better to go down for trying to save lives rather than just ignoring the issue.

I am no fan of Fauci, AT ALL , But will say this..

He is in a Lose-Lose situation.... no matter what he says or does he has a chance of almost 1/2 the population disagreeing with him.

The recall effort is due to his attending an indoor dinning event at fancy restaurant with friends and none wearing mask as you know of course. Some people see this as hypocrisy. Cheers
