I need new tires for my 2013 Thor Hurricane 34E Ford 53 22k chassis. It still has the orginal load F tires Gooryears on it. Anybody have these Sumitomo tires on their coach?

Also have a question. If the coach came with Goodyear F load tires and they lasted 7 years and 35k miles, why would I want to move up to a G or H load? Wouldn't the higher the load rating, the stiffer the ride? I see a lot of people running G's or higher on their 22k F53 chassis.

We put Toyo's on and are very happy with them. That's what we will buy again.

Spent most of the day shopping for tires. Found Toyo's 245/70r19.5 16 ply mounted and balance for $2500. 2020 date codes on them

I would check around again for price. I had 6 Sumitomos 245/75/22.5 put on in 2018 for $1860 out the door (mounting, balancing and tax included). $2700 for a smaller tire seem a bit high.

Best of luck.

I've decided to go with Hankook AH35 245/70R19.5 H/16PR. Now just price shopping them locally. motorhomestires.com quoted me $2700 installed at my location.

Back in 2016 I invested in a set of Bridgestone R250. I now have 20K trouble free miles on them and the tread is like new. The original Goodyears left me on the shoulder of an interstate after 16K and the Michelins on my Mercedes shedded the rubber at 28K so I won't buy either brand again. I have Sumitomos on the Merc and they are great tires.

I've replaced Michelins on both of our Motorhomes with Hankooks and have been very happy with them. I liked them better than the Michelins on our first one.

I am running Sumitomo all around on my Bus and have been very happy with them They ride well and handle the road fine. They were also the best price of all the tires I looked at this time. I have also run Toyo which I liked.

For me, price helps make the choice and I steer away from Goodyear because of harsh ride and Michelin because of price.

Just my opinion. Happy Travels

Sometimes people run "G" tires because that is what is in stock at the dealer. I believe "G" tires are more common than "F" at some dealers. For the SAME load, the tire pressure is the same for "F" "G" or "H" tires so I doubt if you will notice a rougher ride. The higher load rating tire just gives you a little cushion if you might overload your tires.
