We are trying to compare Garden of the Gods RV park & the KOA in Fountain Hills. We want FHU & pull through. I see that the KOA has road noise... How bad? We are not hearing back from Garden of the Gods & are looking for good alternatives. Thanks!

Try Cheyenne Mountain State Park. It is on the south end of Colorado Springs, off highway 115

For sure, if you can get into Cheyenne Mountain State Park that is not only the best in Colorado Springs, it is one of the best anywhere.
But IT IS HARD TO GET A RESERVATION! And you have to have a reservation. I stayed there twice last Summer and was lucky enough to get a reservation in July, 2021.
Now, the KOA at Fountain is far better an any of the campgrounds in Colorado Springs or Manitou Springs--in my opinion. Most of the campgrounds in town are packed in. At least the campsites at KOA are reasonably spaced. I stayed in the KOA last September until my sites at Cheyenne Mountain opened up. This was because the September snowstorm ran us out of Rocky Mountain National Park.
So here is a clear recommendation: Cheyenne Mountain if you can get a reservation, otherwise KOA at Fountain.
EDIT to say: forgot to add, I did not notice road noise at all at the KOA.

Garden of the Gods RV park had a fairly recent change in mgmt. and ownership. It got run down a bit before it sold and probably is being upgraded. As I recall, they close in the winter.
The KOA is always full so it must be pretty well run. I have looked into the park and it doesn't look bad.
The KOA would get my vote.

If you don't mind driving an extra 12 miles south on hiway 115 from Cheyenne Mt. State Park, Mountaindale RV resort is very nice. It is quiet and has nice large sites. We stay there quite a bit and have had several RV rallies there. It is about a half hour drive to Garden of the Gods, and 40 miles to Royal Gorge.

I would second Mountaindale really nice place and well run with very large sites. I did hear a rumor they were going to go all seasonal but like I said a rumor.
